Amma visits tsunami relief camps in Japan

Accept the situation, develop faith, move forward

Amma addressed the refugee residents( earthquake struck Japan victims), with the following words of inspiration,

"You have just been through painful experiences, and you have yet to come out of that shock. The situation is such that no words can give you peace. Amma is here just to part take in the grief that you are going through. There are certain situations in life where you cannot do anything but accept. This is one of those situations. If you ask a musician where the music is coming from, he would say ‘its from my fingers, or from my throat, or from my heart'. If you operate the finger, the throat or the heart you will not find music. Actually music is coming from beyond. We have to understand the limitations of our actions, and the place of God's Grace in our life. Keeping faith in that power, my children, pray for the Grace. Like any other decision, happiness is also a decision. Have a resolve, let any thing happen, I will be happy, I will be courageous. Without losing the self-confidence or faith in God, move forward".

Swamiji Amrita Swaroopananda Puri Visit to Hyd on 28th & 29th December-2010

Satsang & Bhajan Sandhya was organized at Bharatiya Vidyabhavan, Basheerbagh, Hyderabad on 28th Dec 2010. Around 1000 people attended the program. Mr.Chandravadhan, IAS (Secretary to Government), Mr.R.R Girishkumar, Former DGP, Mr Shyam Mohan, Chairman Intellectual Cell, AP Congress Committee were the special guests who had attended the program. Swamiji had given a discourse on the topic “Relevance of Spirituality in modern World". People from all walks of life attended the programme. Students from Business Schools, Government Officials, Devotees, Politicians, students from Medical colleges, Dignitaries from Corporate companies were the few among the audience. Swamiji’s enchanting bhajans elevated the crowd into higher realms of devotion.

On 29th Dec, the programme was organised at the Ashram premises at Mahendra Hills, Secunderabad. On this day, it was an interactive spiritual question answer session with the devotees. Swamiji explained in detail various aspects of life and also answered the different spiritual questions put forward by the devotees. Swamiji had a Bhajan session also after the Q&A session. Around 300 people attended the interactive session.

While answering a question of a devotee about forgiveness, Swamiji explained that, in fact forgiveness is not a solution but is a tool for maintaining equipoise of the mind & maintaining harmony in the World. To another question asked by a devotee about spiritual life, Swamiji explained that the spiritual practices should be continuous in ones life & should not take any break. Swamiji said just like we breath, take food, sleep in the same way the spiritual practices are also unavoidable part of daily life.

Amala Bharatam Campaign (ABC)

It is a campaign aimed at cleaning India's public places and national highways. Through this cleanliness drive, MAM hopes to raise social awareness of humanity's debt to our beautiful earth and nature. Amma launched this project on her 57th Birthday celebrations on 27th Sep 2010. Amma said that the MAM is ready to take up the responsibility of constructing toilets and installing trash cans in government schools and along roads all over India if it has the support and co-operation of state governments and other organizations.

Amma asks that all of us take a vow to clean our surroundings. Amma believes that if the people, government and other organizations work together, this sacred endeavour will certainly bear fruit.

         చిన్నతన౦ ను౦డి అమ్మ ఇతరుల బాధలను చూడలేక పోయేవారు. సమయ౦ ఉన్నపుడు దరిద్రులను దీనులను తన ఇ౦టికి తీసుకోని వచ్చి వారికి వేడి నీళ్ళతో స్నాన౦ చేయి౦చి భోజన౦ పెట్టేవారు. పస్తులు౦టున్న అటువ౦టి కుటు౦బాలకు సహయ౦ చేయడానికి అనేకమార్లు ఇ౦ట్లో వస్తువులను దొ౦గలి౦చివారికి ఇస్తూ ఉ౦డేవారు.

       అమ్మ అ౦టారు " ప్రేమ మాత్రమే ఈ ప్రప౦చ౦ యొక్క గాయలకు సరైనఔషద౦. ప్రేమ మాత్రేమే ఈ విశ్వ౦లో అ౦దరిని ఒకటిగా చేస్తు౦డి" అని.
